Lorraine’s career started with a box of Crayola crayons and cleaning brushes for her sign maker step-father. She learned the art of craft of brush lettering, gold leafing and silk screening at his side and then earned a BFA in design from California College of Arts and Crafts (now CCA) in Oakland, CA.
Her career has included Graphic Arts, Advertising, Marketing, Logo Design and more. She operated her own sign and graphic design business in Donner Summit and Truckee.
Her fine art career has included oil and acrylic painting, watercolor, pen and ink and pencil drawing. She has had more than a 50 year career in art and design and has occasionally won awards and recognition for her designs.
