Hello from the mother daughter duo! Our names are Dorothy Haynes and Trinity Haynes and together we created an interworking piece. A curly headed individual holds a balloon which encapsulates the perceived innocent heart of the Black individual. The individual holds their fist up to portray the reality of strong, contradictory inner emotions within as their face is shielded from the world.
Dorothy’s Bio: I have always adored all forms of art, including the human form and nature. I love the freedom of creating something beautiful with my hands. I believe that there are phases of life and right now I’m enjoying expressing myself through acrylic.
Trinity’s Bio: Artist, activist and more! Hello, my name is Trinity Haynes and I utilize my artistic abilities and resources to advocate for justice. Using digital media and physical tools I create art for my passion topics which are voting, education and the environment.
